Melissa Fannon-Wisner
I grew up in Carroll County, Maryland, but lived most of my “adult” life between York, PA and Frederick, MD. I moved to Falling Waters, WV in 2020 where I live with my husband, Matt (who is a Frederick County MD Firefighter) and my son Julian.
I attended York College of Pennsylvania for my BSN in 2008, and obtained my MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Johns Hopkins University in 2016, and currently enrolled at West Virginia University working towards my Doctoral degree, I hopefully will graduate sometime between August 2024 and December 2024—my dissertation/capstone will be aimed at addressing educational gaps in adult new diagnosis type 2 diabetics in a rural area/critical access hospital.
I worked in the Pediatric ICU and as a Pediatric Critical Care Transport Nurse from 2009-2016 at Hopkins before moving on to my NP roles. I have worked in family medicine and pediatric surgery as an NP prior to joining WPC. I joined WPC in October 2022, mostly covering sick clinic—I love our patients and our staff.
When not working or doing schoolwork…I enjoy spending time with my family and riding on my Peloton.
